# Materialized views

> Persist query results as physical tables and keep them current.

Creates [materialized views](https://docs.lancedb.com/management/materialized-view.md): query results
persisted as physical tables, brought up to date by a
[refresh](https://docs.lancedb.com/feature-engineering/refresh-materialized-view.md).
