# GENERATE_SERIES

> The generate_series() table function: rows from a range.

**Applies to:** Embedded ❌, Enterprise ✅

```sql SQL icon="database" theme={"theme":{"light":"vitesse-light","dark":"catppuccin-mocha"}}
SELECT * FROM generate_series(
    1,
    10
)
```

Rows from a range, useful for building a dense axis to left-join sparse data
onto.
